Description
This is a version of the Batmobile featured in Batman: The Animated Series; it is the second version of the Batmobile as featured in the series, with Batman using this version to replace an older Batmobile. The vehicle was designed by Earl Cooper, an automotive designer who was out of work; it was inspired by a similar vehicle Bruce Wayne had seen at the Gotham's World Fair. It is fitted with a turbine jet, grappling hook, ejection seats, onboard computer uplink and oil slick among other gadgets. Various copies of this design were later built to replace Batmobiles destroyed by Wayne's nemeses.
